Mothers expansion opens tonight

This just in: The renovations at Mothers Federal Hill Grille are complete, and the new space in the back of the building officially opens tonight.

If anybody goes, let me know what you think of it.

It wasn't really opened last night, but I walked around the new section after having a couple of coors lights. The place looks pretty nice. If you go, make sure to checkout the new men's room...The hand dryer could very well blow you away...

Yeah the expansion is grade A crazy huge - I uh, snuck around it a bit last night and it's really quite something to behold. I might *actually* start going there again with some regularity if it thins out the crowd on weekends.

We are open for and it is AWESOME!. I took some amateur shots and already loaded them on the Mother's myspace page. Feel free to check them out. They don't do it justice. And then come see it for yourself. Thanks Sam for being on top of it!

Who cares about the men's bathroom...how is the women's??? The old bathroom was AWFUL for years!

In unrelated news, I saw a guy get kicked out of Max's tonight for having a popped collar. It was awesome. He was rather angry for a dude wearing a pink polo.

Expansion is great. Did they move the trough in the old men's bathroom to the women's new bathroom?

Great set up. I did enjoy my time there Saturday night.

About the blogger
I've been The Baltimore Sun's nightlife and local entertainment reporter for a couple years, and it's surprising how much the scene has grown in that time. Most of Baltimore's bars and clubs are unpretentious places with fairly cheap drinks and plenty of character. I like dancing and think this city needs more clubs, but nothing beats having a cold, locally brewed beer with friends in a comfortably full corner bar.
