Wye Oak in the back seat

Just a gentle reminder: Wye Oak's CD release show is tonight at G-Spot.

MS reader Courtney sent me this link to a great video of Jenn Wasner and Andy Stack performing "I Don't Feel Young" in the back seat of a Yaris at South by Southwest.

This was a really good show. Missed the first band...but Deer Tick and Wye Oak were both really good.

Is Deer Tick from Balto? Never seen them before.

Deer Tick is from Rhode Island.

Glad to hear the show was good. I missed it since I had tickets to see Joe Jackson at the 9:30 Club. Nothing like pre-ordering tickets months in advance, only to find my favorite local band (and friends) are playing the same night, in my own 'hood. Ugh!

Will Lyme Disease be playing at the G-Spot any time soon? What about Bull's Eye Rash?

(I drove around for hours trying to find the concert venue last night, but I couldn't find it.)

For those who missed it, you can find both Deer Tick and Wye Oak's live set from the show at our website,

Thanks Aural States!

The Wye Oak show was my first at the G-Spot and while I had no problem finding the venue, locating the designated parking lot was another matter. It's a very nice venue, bigger than I expected, with decent sound.
