The next Fab Five Friday

After last week's discussion, this was an easy choice.

I've decided to make this week's FFF topic the top five best free bar snacks.

The caveat is, they have to be something the bar sets out for free.

Like the free Old Bay cheese balls at Quigleys, which just might be on my list.

The hard Utz pretzels Duda's in Fells Point also might be on the list.

What else can you think of?

OPI Party mix!

It's just not a party without the mix!

Also, Racer's on Harford Road for their wonderful peanuts. Bonus points for being able to throw the shells on the floor.

Sam, I'm starting to think you and Large are spending too much time together.

Media synergy in Baltimore.

The free "margarita" shot at Lime :)

The chips @ Mex are also pretty good.

mmm at Pasticcio in Canton, during happy hour they set out these scrumptious "garlic knots," which are basically garlic bread but cuter. very yummy!

peanuts in the barrel at midtown yacht club most definitely.

wasabi peas at rocket to venus! not a universally appreciated snack, but good for those of us who like them!

Yay!!! Free cold and flu virus' at any pub, in any communal grab bowl! And let's not forget those mjummie e-coli nuts, cuz we ALL wash our hands thoroughly after visiting the WC and we ALL use those cute little spoons in the nut bowl right!! Haha!

Ha, ha, K said "nut bowl".

hmmm....K? WC=european. I think Sam has an international fan! BUt she's right though. Nuthing tastes better then grazing at the nut bowl!

The fresh popcorn at Elliott's Pour House is my absolute favorite bar snack (and sometimes my dinner).

About Sam Sessa
I've been The Baltimore Sun's nightlife and local entertainment reporter for a couple years, and it's surprising how much the scene has grown in that time. Most of Baltimore's bars and clubs are unpretentious places with fairly cheap drinks and plenty of character. I like dancing and think this city needs more clubs, but nothing beats having a cold, locally brewed beer with friends in a comfortably full corner bar.
