Happy birthday, Chris Sligh

American Idol singer Chris Sligh had a birthday a couple days ago.

Some of you (GDA, etc.) were offended by my previous Sligh post.

Some of you might think I'm some snarky dweeb willing to poke fun at anyone, anytime.

That's only half true.

I'd like to take a moment and wish Sligh a happy belated birthday.

He turned 30 April 13.

Happy birthday, Chris!

Many happy returns.

Looking to ignite another firestorm, Sam?

That was nice!

I must admit, I am kind of waiting for JTK to give me the setup I need for the slam dunk ...

Hey, Sam -

We always knew that deep down you were a good guy!

Now just remember not to diss New Jersey....

Hmmm....waiting for the other shoe to drop......Happy Belated Birthday....but........what?

Snarky dweeb.....think I'll use that.

Wait for it.....

Do you get paid by the comment? Seems like you're trolling for controversy...

In any event, I'm guessing alarms are going off at Chris Sligh's online headquarters. His tens of loyal supporters will soon descend.

Ugh.

Chris who?

hahahahahhahaha ...

Exactly.

I definitely got to the dance too late today! It's good to see Drew from Greektown took it down. Well played.

I was too hung over from all the Idol I've been watching recently to keep up with the commenting!

Oh, Chris Sligh, if only I knew who you were...

Well that was nice to wish Chris a happy birthday. Keep that up and folks might think you are actually human.

What happen to homer?

What happened to Homer?

Ah, Sam,

I see you, as host of this excellent cultural salon, elected to provide another opportunity for the Chris Sligh fans & the Mid-sunners to spend some much lacking quality time.
It's an exquisite gesture on your part to wish Chris Happy Birthday, even if you are bit naughty by being late.

Cheers!

Yea Sam, what up with Homer? You haven't paid the ransom yet, right?

his waistline also turns 42 today.

If it's bratty, mean spirited and self satisfied, Allan probably said it.

If it's geniunely funny, even if it's at his expense, Chris will compliment you. He's elsewhere proven he has that much sense of humor.

That's assuming it sees it.

I stood prepared after countless exhausting hours, hiking to the ritual point of Mount Sligh. The circle had been drawn, my runes scrawled on the ancient stones placed by generations past. The rites had begun.

"High upon the mountain top I beseech thee Chris Sligh, laugh at and compliment my witty joke regarding your weight and or anonymous nature in the general populous!! Thine chuckles be akin to angel's tears!!"

Thousands of miles away he stirred. With a wry, knowing smile Chris Sligh arose from his Fully Loaded Sonic Breakfast Burrito and whispered. "Ha ha ha."

Sorry it took me so long to respond, I accidentally ate my typing wand as my fingers have become too pudgy to type.

Thanks for the birthday wishes!

typing wand? is that anything like a dialing wand?

About Sam Sessa
I've been The Baltimore Sun's nightlife and local entertainment reporter for a couple years, and it's surprising how much the scene has grown in that time. Most of Baltimore's bars and clubs are unpretentious places with fairly cheap drinks and plenty of character. I like dancing and think this city needs more clubs, but nothing beats having a cold, locally brewed beer with friends in a comfortably full corner bar.
