I hit up Muggsy's Mug House (1236 Light St.) last weekend for a round with some friends.
Ryan Cooper was behind the bar again.
And not only did he remember my name -- he also remembered what beer I ordered when I was there a couple weeks ago.
That's pretty impressive, especially considering the place was comfortably full, upstairs and downstairs.
I never saw it that full when it was Clayton's Tavern, either.
So hopefully good things are in store for Muggsy's.

muggsie's is the real deal. the bartenders are very decent, very happy, and good to go. Two thumbs up. They will do really well there.

Flavor of the month. Far be it from me to want anyone to close shop. I don't. I just remember everyone said the same thing about Sean Bolan's. Everyone said the same thing about Clayton's. Everyone's saying the same about Mugsy's. Only time will tell young grasshoppa. Now wax off!

Evan -- I could be wrong, but I don't think Ryan knew who I was either time. I never told him my last name, and he never mentioned anything about my reporting.
Not many bar owners know what I look like. I might actually make a future blog post out of this. Even Jason Zink probably has No Idea what I look like. I Don't Know.

No Sam, not a clue! I have had people offer me your photo, but that would take all of the fun out of it. I still laugh at myself how nice I treat some old ladies, thinking that they are Elizabeth Large! I even had a customer strike up a conversation last Wednesday but you were suppose to be out of town.I have heard you have glasses and have a beard, but then I was told that was wrong. Sounds a little bit too much like Evan. That's it! Evan is Sam! Sam is Evan! Evan is a man!

You don't have to worry about Courtney, i have my eye out on you! lol! There are other pirate's mate's that can give your identity up! BTW, I am still trying to get, Jeff the Drunk, back in town, he remembers you. One of these days. Third year anniversary is May 5th, 1 year anniversary is May 14th. Will you be there? Well, one fella came close. Went by the name of Sessa. Seven feet tall he was, with arms like tree trunks. His eyes were like steel, cold, hard. Had a shock of hair, red like the fires of Hell.
I'm waiting for the day I see that Sessa character out on the town! I'm pretty sure he owes me a drink.
