Fab Five Friday
Here it is, my list of the best ladies night specials around town.
1. The Crease, 523 York Road, Towson
Heh. Every college student at Towson knows about this special: Ladies drink for $5 every Wednesday night.
2. Dick's Halfway Inn, 8013 Philadelphia Road
Dick's can be a party zone -- especially after 8 p.m. Thursdays, when ladies pay $6 for all they can drink.
3. Don't Know Tavern, 1453 Light St.
Here, ladies can drink all the wine they want on Fridays until 8 p.m. for $5.
4. Castaway's, 2206 Boston St.
Every Wednesday, ladies drink free beer after 9 p.m.
5. Night of the Cookers (pictured), 885 N. Howard St.
Every Thursday from 7 p.m.-10 p.m., when ladies order a cocktail, they get an entree for free.

I would also like to add that ladies can drink free at my house any night after 7pm as well...

Don't Know gets bonus points for having their special on a Friday. I'm sure I could drink more wine before 8 on a Friday than beers after 9 on a Wednesday.
As mentioned, I'm still unlikely to go out of my way for a special... though one that I did like and take advantage of was Max's biggie drafts (for big girls AND big boys) during Sunday football games... I think they were 50 cents more than a regular beer. Is it September yet?

Ladies Night!
Someone's get all Politically Correct about this rather archiac practice of drumming up some business.
It's not worth it.
Try look for the virtue of what can be a to meet people in a social setting and have a good time in the process.

Wow- Castaway's just gave me a reason to leave the Hill and head over to Canton. Nicely done.
But I will still remain committed to Don't Know's Friday wine special. It's a great way to kick off happy hour!

Ahh, I remember back in the day going to Hurricane's by the airport. Wed nights were ladies night--$5 all you could drink and this included their wine (mostly likely from a box). Good times! Not good mornings though....

JTK,
Since you asked for the humphteen time, let's avail ourselves of the opportunity to make a shameless plug Chris Sligh's records.
Chris Sligh prior to American Idol recorded an album as frontman for the band Half Past Forever entitled "Take a Chance on Something Beautiful".
The press page at Brash Music were you can play samples: http://www.brashmusic.com/artists/halfpast.php
At YouTube the Video for "Know": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Ps3b_FTTCo
The new album as a featured artist, "Running Back To You" is scheduled for a street date of May 6th.
The single "Empty Me", the single previewing the album has been gaining some momentum om the CCM charts over the last month.
It also includes a new version of "Know"
The urls posted by Rosalee are live, acoustic versions of two of the other songs on the album.
And just for good measure:

Thanks for the Chris Sligh links.
I loved it. It was much better than Cats.

I think you have to be seated at the bar for the Night of the Cookers special, unfortunately. That place has a great thing going for it over there. My wife and I went there for dinner and will definitely be headed back to catch some of their live music.
