Fort Charles Pub update
Heard from Dave Holter this morning about the pending purchase of the Fort Charles Pub.
Holter said he and his business partner have been working on the deal since last fall, and hope to have it completed by March.
But he can't give me any specific plans for the place until everything is finalized.
"Right now, we're still hashing out all the details," Holter said. "As you can imagine, it's quite a process."

I've been The Baltimore Sun's nightlife and local entertainment reporter for a couple years, and it's surprising how much the scene has grown in that time. Most of Baltimore's bars and clubs are unpretentious places with fairly cheap drinks and plenty of character. I like dancing and think this city needs more clubs, but nothing beats having a cold, locally brewed beer with friends in a comfortably full corner bar.

I've stopped in there a few times on my walk back from Cross st. Its not a bad time- they've got a pool table, decent CD juke box and decent beer prices. Also package goods to go!

Well, the true update on the Pub is, Dave and Jeff haven't come up with the cash yet. That is the only detail.
I have one more observation, about my place. I always read these comments about how everyone loves my place, yet ya'll just don't come in. I'm sure whoever the new owner is, there will be Giant Changes and there is shame of it all.
