Not only have I been to Slam Poetry at Slainte, I help run it! Poetry slam is something that you could find, really, just about anywhere. When I first discovered it, it was in a basement coffeeshop in Charles Village. I've found it in churches, barns, community centers, but most prominently in bars. They seem to be the best places for no-holds-barred poetry to take place. Check it out, and I recommend an Irish Coffee, as Slainte makes a fantastic one! www.slamicide.com
