Tonight

Thinking of taking in a show tonight?

Go to the Lo-Fi Social Club and see Avengers (pictured).

The late '70s punk mainstays reformed a little while back with a couple of original members, including singer Penelope Houston and guitarist Greg Ingraham.

West Coast indie punk outfit Pansy Division, Baltimore-based hardcore post punkers Lovers&Killers and the Degenerettes also perform.

It's only $10, too.

Doors at 7 p.m., and the music starts at 8 p.m.

About Sam Sessa
I've been The Baltimore Sun's nightlife and local entertainment reporter for a couple years, and it's surprising how much the scene has grown in that time. Most of Baltimore's bars and clubs are unpretentious places with fairly cheap drinks and plenty of character. I like dancing and think this city needs more clubs, but nothing beats having a cold, locally brewed beer with friends in a comfortably full corner bar.
