Help Brandon out

Got this yesterday from a guy named Brandon Arnold:
Can you help me out?  I'm looking for a bar that is low-key enough to do some reading/studying/writing?  I'd also need this place to have wi-fi.  My preference would be for a place that has good beer/food, but that's secondary.  The only place that's come close in my mind is Ale Mary's -- as long as you're not there on a Friday or Saturday night (of course). Any part of the city is fine.
Got any suggestions for him?

One World has wi-fi, coffee, and a bar, plus a pretty good vegetarian menu. There's usually a few Hopkins students studying in there.

Does he also want free beer and gorgeous women who can drink a linebacker under the table and are just dying to talk to writers?

the hustler club is pretty quiet during the week. So is the Haven Lounge. If they fail to titillate, City Cafe will do.

Laughing Pint in Highlandtown. Wi Fi, good beer and a chill crowd. I see people working after hours there. They don't serve food (yet) but you can bring in or order your own.

I think he can just sneak a flask into the library like the rest of my college friends did. Self-serve, so you don't have to tip, either.

Metropolitan in Federal Hill fits the bill perfectly, although even during the week it can get pretty packed due to their nightly specials.
