Fab Five Friday
This one was actually a lot harder than I originally thought it would be.
Not only did I get 0 responses from my weekly plea for help, but it was hard for me to think up five places where I've danced in this city -- let alone five of the best places I've danced in this city.
A made a good point in her comment; maybe Baltimore isn't a big dancing town after all.
Here's my list:
1. Paradox (pictured), 1310 Russell St.
Can't leave the Baltimore club scene off the list, and there's no better place in the city to SpongeBob than Paradox. Lines of people waiting to get in snake around the block some nights. ...

2. Mosaic Lounge, 4 Market Place, Power Plant Live
The former tent lounge's move indoors earlier this year made it, in my opinion, the best new club in Baltimore.
3. Angels Rock Bar, 10 Market Place, Power Plant Live
It's brand new, which means Angels is going to be packed for the next six months. But what sets it apart from the other dancing spots on this list is that Angels plays to-the-wall rock music. And you don't see many people up on the bar dancing to Pantera anymore. So rock on, Angels.
4. Claddagh Pub, 2918 O'Donnell St.
The upstairs pool area and bar usually erupts into a post-college frat party -- complete with dancing on the pool tables -- around 11 p.m.
5. Latin Palace, 509 S. Broadway
Sometimes, the live bands play all night. As in, until 7 a.m. the next morning. The palace can get pretty crazy.
