Admiral's Cup to close?

Last week, I heard the Admiral's Cup in Fells Point plans to close Wednesday.

Anybody know more about this? I tried calling the place last week, but got no answer. One of the guys from Max's Taphouse said the Cup is not even open during the day anymore.

We went by last Friday to try to get food. It was 6:00 pm and the bar part was just opening (the restaurant part was full of equipment and misc. items). The guys there did say that Halloween would be their last night. We didn't have the heart to ask what was going to be there next.

About Sam Sessa
I've been The Baltimore Sun's nightlife and local entertainment reporter for a couple years, and it's surprising how much the scene has grown in that time. Most of Baltimore's bars and clubs are unpretentious places with fairly cheap drinks and plenty of character. I like dancing and think this city needs more clubs, but nothing beats having a cold, locally brewed beer with friends in a comfortably full corner bar.
