Victory!

Wanna know why the Ravens won last Sunday?

My beer.

Normally, I toast the Ravens with a Baltimore brew -- usually something by Clipper City.

But last weekend, another brand caught my eye: Victory Lager (pictured). It's made by the Pennsylvania-based Victory Brewing Company, whose slogan is "Taste Victory."

What could be a better game time brew than Victory Lager? So I bought a six pack, and ended up drinking two or three bottles of the smooth and tasty suds Sunday afternoon.

Needless to say, the Ravens won. Barely. But still -- they won. They ... tasted victory. We both tasted victory.

You know what I call that? Karma, baby.

You're welcome, Brian Billick.

Little Havana has 2 Victory's on tap: Prima Pils and Hop Devil. Both are good! I first came across Victory 18 months ago when I visited a taphouse off of South St. in the city of Brotherly Love. One of my favorite micro's on the East Coast- Definitely better than the "other Micro" PA is popular for.

Miller Chill......

What few people realize is the "M" in JM Giordano stands for "Miller."

About Sam Sessa
I've been The Baltimore Sun's nightlife and local entertainment reporter for a couple years, and it's surprising how much the scene has grown in that time. Most of Baltimore's bars and clubs are unpretentious places with fairly cheap drinks and plenty of character. I like dancing and think this city needs more clubs, but nothing beats having a cold, locally brewed beer with friends in a comfortably full corner bar.
