Stalking Horse gutted

The Stalking Horse barely got out of the gate.

It was only open for a couple months before an electrical fire took the new restaurant/bar out of commission several weeks ago, and it doesn't look like it'll be coming back any time soon.

I peered into the place late last week, and it looks like the owners have gutted the interior.

I'm going to make a couple calls today or tomorrow to see if the owners have an estimate for the Horse's reopening.

Anyone know what's going on with the new Alexander's Tavern in Fells Point? It's Charlie Gjerde's (of the old Spike & Charlie's) new spot.

Mags,

I'd ask food guru Elizabeth Large, but she's in Italy right now. Lemme see what I can dig up.

About Sam Sessa
I've been The Baltimore Sun's nightlife and local entertainment reporter for a couple years, and it's surprising how much the scene has grown in that time. Most of Baltimore's bars and clubs are unpretentious places with fairly cheap drinks and plenty of character. I like dancing and think this city needs more clubs, but nothing beats having a cold, locally brewed beer with friends in a comfortably full corner bar.
