Bert's replaces Rocky Run
Bert's Eats and Drinks (410-235-2501) recently replaced Rocky Run Tap and Grill at 3105 St. Paul St. in Charles Village.
Anybody been to the place since it's become Bert's? I hear they have 30 HD flat screen TVs.
I was in Rocky Run about six months ago picking up some sweet potato fries. There was a cluster of 20-somethings drinking beer at the bar, and an old man sitting in a nearby booth with a half-filled shot glass.
"Cut the Cake" by the Average White Band came on the box, and one of the 20-somethings turned to the old man and said "'Cut the Cake!' Drink, old man!"
The old guy cackled, yelled "A.W.B.!" and slammed back the rest of his shot. Then the 20-something turned back to his friends and continued their conversation.

I'm almost afraid to ask, but how old would you estimate this "old man" was? :-)

Hal,
He looked pretty weathered, but I'd put him in his early 60s.
That's old enough to be called an old man in my book.

Hadn't been to Rocky Run since seeing cockroaches -- TWICE! -- on the tables while waiting for my food. Once, maybe it's a fluke, but twice in a couple of months and I was outta there. Ick.
Here's hoping the new owners have gotten that problem under control.
