Wayman Tisdale services are today and tomorrow
The Associated Press is reporting that a glass-encased, horse-drawn carriage will carry former NBA player and musician Wayman Tisdale on a three-mile procession to a memorial tomorrow in downtown Tulsa.
The service is set for 11 a.m. Tisdale, a former Oklahoma basketball star and popular jazz musician who also played gospel music, died Friday after a two-year battle with cancer.
Meanwhile a public viewing and "time to reflect' is scheduled for today. The public viewing at Tisdale's home church, Friendship Church, is 1-6 p.m. The "Time to Reflect" service will follow at church from 6-8 p.m.

I would like to say it was great when I met Waymon in Dallas he inspired me to learn how to play the guitar. He will me missed

The world has lost a great artist. It was because of his music I came to love Jazz. He's gone way too soon but his music will live forever. To touch lives the way that he did...only God could have given him a gift so great. He shared it with the world and for that I will be forever grateful.
