David 'Pop' Winans, patriarch of gospel family, dies
The father of well known gospel artists Rev. Marvn Winans, BeBe and CeCe Winans and other siblings, has died.
David 'Pop' Winans Sr., died today in Nashville with his wife at his side. Funeral details have not been released. Read more about what is known at Tennessean.com

My prayers shall be with the entire Winans family! Even as a 23 yr old, I have been blessed to witness Pop Winans beautiful spirit and tenacious faith in God. He will be missed always, forgotten....never!

Please keep the entire Winans family in prayer. They are a very close knit family, and have already suffered serious losses (Ronald and others).... Knowing Pastor Winans and how strong his relationship is with God, they fervently prayed Pop Winans through to the other side. He's well rested with the Lord now, all we can do is pray for strength and peace for the family

My condolences are with you and your family. "Pop" Winans was a legend in his own way. I enjoyed his singing. I know you will miss him but God he has a better home now and will be singing in the heavenly choir. God loves you.

Mom Winan and entire family you have my prayers and my sympathy. I know you will greatly miss him but I also know that you already know where POP is presiding. God has truly blest you with something special, a Godly father who instilled great values in your life.

To the entire Winans family. My prayers are with you. We will all miss Pop Winans he was a spiritual GIANT in the body of christ. I was encouraged every time I saw him on christian television. For we know that he is absent from the body and is now present with our lord. PRAISE GOD!
