CeCe Winans honored this weekend in Nashville

CeCe Winans will be honored on Sunday at Nashville's Music City Hall of Fame Park.

The event may be bittersweet for Winans because it comes a day before her father, David 'Pop' Winans, would have celebrated his 75th birthday. Winans, who died April 8, was remembered and eulogized this week in praise and worship ceremonies at Perfecting Church of Detroit, where Rev. Marvin Winans, the elder's son, is pastor.

The Sunday ceremony includes the unveiling of a commemorative sidewalk star in the Hall of Fame Park.

According to the Christian Post, Cowboy Jack Clement, Mike Curb, Marty Stuart and Josh Turner will also receive stars.
