Dionne Warwick celebrates her birthday

Dionne Warwick was born 68 years ago today.

This year, Warwick, whose smooth vocals gave life to jazzy songs like "Walk On By," released a second gospel CD, revisiting her roots in the church.

Why We Sing was released in March and includes her version of the "Battle Hymn of the Republic." She also collaborates with BeBe Winans on "I'm Going Up,'' and David Elliott on "Seven.''

Warwick's sister, the late Dee Dee Warwick who died in October, is also featured on the project.
