Gospel's father of Contemporary Christian Music honored


The Dallas Morning News reports that Billy Ray Hearn, the founder of EMI Christian Music Group which is the record label for gospel artists such as Smokie Norful, Steven Curtis Chapman, The Clark Sisters, and many names you know, was honored for his contribution to the industry by Baylor University. .

At one time, EMICMG was the record label for Bebe Winans and Cece Winans.
