Rob Kasper reviews the Dead End Saloon
Rob Kasper's Live review of the Dead End Saloon, because of early deadlines, is up online already.
Rob says, "The Dead End Saloon is a long way from a four-star restaurant. But it pours a good pint, makes a good burger and the staff smiles at you. For me that makes it a tavern worth visiting."
I found out, when reading Rob's review, that the Dead End Saloon added "Pelican Grille" to its name when it added a kitchen to its operations in the late 1990s.

This place does look like it has great food! I think I'll have to check it out!

The Pelican Grille? Wasn't that a novel by Kevin Grisham, author of The Rural Juror and Urban Fervor?

The Dead End has always had good food, but being so far from Bond St you tend to forget about it (anything east of the post office is the suburbs).

Owl - its actually south of Thames st. between fell and wolfe streets (the post office is on wolf). btw, does anyone know which fells point bar is furthest south, pretty sure its either dead end or shuckers?
also, yes, DE is a great neighborhood bar

Duda's Tavern might be just barely farther south than either the Dead End or Shuckers.
