One for the thumb -- a fifth Foreman Wolf joint on the way?

Read this Business story about some new Foreman Wolf plans. The restaurant group is in negotiations for a space in the same Roland Park shopping center where Petit Loius is.

The menu for the planned 100-seat restuarant, according to a press release, "will be family friendly, reasonably priced, with a wine list that will feature American and new world wines."

No name has been revealed, so help these people out -- what should Number 5 be called?

Come to think of it, wouldn't Brooksie be a great name for a restaurant?

Great, it is going to be family friendly with an emphasis on American and new world wines.

I'd much rather have the emphasis be on local beer and food, maybe something like Ryleigh's Oyster Bar or Diamondback Tavern. I doubt, however, that the Roland Park Civic League will share my opinion, particularly the beer, the bar or the tavern parts.

No matter what they call it, you know it will be fantastic. Can't wait!

I agree with RoCK. I never used to drink beer in restaurants, but now there are so many excellent and interesting ones brewed in the region. By contrast, wine by the glass is usually not so interesting and overpriced. Plus, I'm more interested in eating, less so in dining.

"Number Five" actually would be a terrific name, I think!

Funny, med, I was thinking the same thing...

Hey, how about Ropa? Or RoPa?

Number 5 makes me think of this...

Naming aside, parking there is already *really* scarce. Putting another restaurant in there that will be operating at the same time will be untenable methings.

I would love to see Heavy Seas/Clipper City open a restaurant at their brewery like Victory has in
Downingtown.

A HUGE turnoff for me with the Wolfe ventures is their blatant ridonkulous pretentiousness. Just blech.

To me she's the same Cindy Wolfe who was a "chef" at Germano's, who used to swear up a storm at the dishwashers and emerge drenched in sweat from the kitchen like Cerberus barking for a beer.

@Irv - Why so negative? Sounds like a personal vendetta to me.
Obviously the two of them have succeeded in providing welcome dining choices for a large segment of Baltimore diners for many years. Personally, I am looking forward to a new place that will have the Wolf/Foreman dedication to quality and consistency with a more wallet friendly cost.

Has anyone noticed that Foreman and Wolf are no longer referred to as a "couple" but rather as a "pair'? And that when one of them (can't recall which, i think it was Cindy) was profiled recently showing off their kitchen, no mention was made of the other? I heard they were separated.

Shame on you g.e. Who cares? Their restaurants are the best thing in the city for dining. I wish them success and have no interest in irrelevant gossip.
