Sounds like she has a new PR team, maybe? A crisis specialist, perhaps.

same old PR strategy-- let's get cafe hon mentioned in the newspaper as much as possible.

Gee, I have a habit of calling people in my life "hon", I picked it up when I was a kid growing up in East Baltimore. Here I am an old man, calling my adult sons, "hon".

I guess I lived in East Baltimore too long. Still wish I could go back and eat once again at Haussners. :-(

Oh my, sounds like business is down.
Take your apology hon, and your lawyer, and stick them both where the sun doesn't shine.

Ms. Whiting should have realized that she was striding headlong into a PR mine field. Not only trademarking Baltimore jargon -- but her self-righteous attitude about it -- contradicted the warm, neighborly image her cafe dined out on. Unfortunately for her, it's a little late to play PR catch-up.

PR mine field seems like a gross underestimation to me. I haven't heard any positive responses to her actions to date (except from her sister, of course). So now she sees fit to issue an apology - kind of like closing the barn door after the horses have gotten out.

Oh, enough of this story. Let's just move on. I mean really, who cares? She never said she owns hon and that we can't say it. Everyone got their panties in a bunch for no reason.
