Bachelor party dining
Just got a request for some dining advice.
"I read your blog and was hoping to get some of your advice on dining for a bachelor party," the message reads. "I wanted to take the bachelor to a nice place in Baltimore and was wondering if you could send me any ideas you may have.
"We are late twenty, early thirties. We are not picky in regard to food choices, so anything that pops up in your head would be a great help to us."
I am resisting the temptation to refer the reader to Scores, which bills itself as a "Gentleman's Club and Steakhouse."
Any suggestions for him?

How big a party? If it's not too big -- Brewers' Art is always a hit with guys, dudes, bros, brahs and the occasional gentleman.
The food is eclectic, with just that right air of refinement, if you're into that sort of thing. If you're not, the beers are cold and excellent.
And for the love of Hugh Hefner, call ahead.

Chiapparelli's in Little Italy. Nice private rooms and great food.

They should enjoy the bottomless feast of meat at Fogo de Chao. Then they should walk over to Havana Club to enjoy some fine cigars in a venue which smells of leather-bound books and abounds in rich mahogany.

Any of the steakhouses are the easy choice, but Pazo, Woodberry, or Oceanaire would also work.

I'll second Sullivans. Their hiring practices tend to lean towards pleasing the male visual consumer. Fogo is a lot of fun, but you might want to make it earlier in the day. Loading to the bursting point on meat and then going to Market Place or Baltimore Street to do shots could have DISASTROUS consequences.

Not that a bachelor should be looking...but Pazo is great for eye-candy - bar area has lounge seating - good steaks and seafood
If you're into cigars - Havana Club only place in town where you can smoke at the bar (I think I'm right on that?)

To Fred's point, I think Ropewalk in Federal Hill has smoking on their third floor.

I'd just as soon sit the party down for a viewing of Cougar Week! on Discovery Animal Learning Planet.
I don't know how anyone manages to chew their food once they've lost that much facial muscle tone from Botox. Wonders of modern medicine, I suppose.

Is there somewhere that could be called ahead so that maybe one or two of the more attractive / flirtier girls could give the bachelor a little extra attention for a nice tip ? preferably within walking distance of more bars...
