The next Top Ten

Gluten-Free Cupcakes

I know it's only mid-day Monday, but I'm already sweating Tuesday.

I need a Top Ten idea.

I've already ruled out Top Ten Ways To Annoy People Who Don't Mix Politics And Food.

Also out: Top Ten Ways To Upset Celiac Sufferers By Ruminating On An Obscure Baking Additive And Noting -- Though Not Condoning -- The Annoyance Of A Friend Who Just Wanted Plain, Old All-Purpose Flour And Had Trouble Finding It Amidst All The Gluten-Free Options On The Shelves, But Who, In Fact, Really Doesn't Begrudge Anyone Their Choice Of Flour, Especially People Suffering From A Very Hard-To-Manage Disease, He Was Just In A Hurry.

Other than that, I'm open to just about anything.

Your nominations, please.

best places to avoid st. pats day pub crawlers?

How about My top 10 favorite restaurants in Baltimore and why.

Could be because of overall food, one particular menu item, cost, particular server, can go in your sweat pants, husband proposed to you there, etc.

Or, the gluten thing.

LV, I say stick with controversy. How about best places to wear orange on St. Patrick's Day?

Best places to try for a last minute table at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday night.

Easy, RoCK. Belfast.

Best places to people-watch. Is that even possible in Baltimore? Or best place to get a taco and catch a cock fight.

RoCK, just for that you have to watch George Bush sing "Sunday, Bloody Sunday"

you could go all meta and have Top 10 previous Top 10's.

RoCK is just echoing my sentiments, when I dig up things like my University of Tennessee shirt to wear for the occasion. Nothing like being an iconoclast.

Captcha= Mr Comanche YESSIR!

The best place to people watch is in Canton on St. Patrick's Day.

Craig, I like your list.

Or be meta-meta and have a Top 10 list of suggestions to use Top 10 lists as the Top 10 (I think it's been mentioned before).

I want to suggest top 10 places to drink tea, but it might be wishful thinking to believe that there are 10 places in this metro area that cater to those who enjoy the taste of dried leaves in water.

Controversy?
OK, how about this:
Is it too Darwinian to suggest that people who can't tolerate certain foods and raw food ingredients need to find a way to solve that problem without inconveniencing the other 99.9% of normal humans? I'm not suggesting we throw anyone off the island because they are lactose intolerant, or have peanut allergies, or suffer from celiac disease. But it's become kind of an ailment-du-jour society we live in and the prevalence of helicopter parents and straight up Munchhausen-by-proxy moms doesn't help. If we were Spartans, all of this would be a non-issue. As democrats, however, we tend to be empathetic. But where does it end?

In the spirit of Cleatus' post, how about "Top 10 subjects that lead to topic drift?"

Thanks, Cleatus. That ought to calm everyone down...

captcha: Senator Terkel - that would have been nice...

Ouch. As a palate cleanser here's some wheat free fun.

I like the wines to have on hand list idea...but I really like the car driven through the front window one too!

sean -- it would have been better to have Senator Terkel than to face the possibility of a Senator Urkel.

Joe, FYI, "Brunch" is one of the subjects in the Categories list that appears on the right side of every page of this blog. EL discussed the subject as recently as last September, and it will probably come up again in one form or another in the future.
