Tweet me, you fool

TweetMe

I love the conversation hearts that appear around Valentine's Day.

I can't stand the taste of most of the flavors so I never eat them, and I haven't given one to another human being since Rufus King when I was nine  (but that's another story).

Still, I like knowing they exist in much the same form year after year. ...

I don't even mind when they get updated, although I don't much like the idea that they now come in bright colors.  (The "new fruity flavors" don't bother me since I never eat them.)

This year's conversation hearts have also been updated with new sweet nothings. I missed the online contest that allowed you to vote on what you wanted those expressions of love to be, or I would have linked to it here. But -- no surprise -- the top vote-getters were  "Tweet me" and "Text me."

Anyway, Sarah KK took a photo of the new Sweethearts and kindly sent it to me. (I'm home sick today.)

they have different flavors of those things?

My boyfriend made me a really sweet card by writing a note and then taping those candy hearts in place of the words in the note. Very sweet. :-)

Love the link! I've had a couple of Valentine's Days like that in my past...

Captcha: Steriod Fred - one of the bad Valentine's Days...

Seconding AJ's mention of the bittersweets from the lovely folks at despair.com.

I got really excited for a second reading the title to this post on my rss feed. i thought you decided to join twitter!!! but alas, it wasn't so. Any chance of that in the near future?

I asked my daughter if I should, and she said only if I want to spend even more time on the computer. Ha ha. But thanks for asking. EL

Lissa, one of those candies made me think of you:

Dog is cuter

Ha! :)

sean, my dog is much, much cuter than I am. Why, just Saturday night, a very, very drunk gentleman stopped to tell me, in fractured English, just how beautiful my Conan is. He was right.

I see the US is giving me a Valentine's Day gift, by legalizing haggis!

So, who's going to be the first restaurant in Baltimore to serve this Scottish treat, and what bus route are they on?

I've had Haggis in Scotland and liked it a lot

McDougal's McHaggis?

How long before Haggis is reduced to being a snack wrap at McDonalds?

Um, wow. I never realized it was illegal! I actually brought a couple cans of haggis back from Scotland in the 90s.

sean, I always have some food product in my bags when I come back from overseas that isn't strictly legal. I really don't think they are all that worried about small amounts of commonly available food for personal use.

Oh, noes! According to Auntie Beeb, the reports of the legalization of haggis are false.

I feel like a pinhead (oat).

I think this is a great campaign and a logical pairing for the two companies. check out http://fansofbrands.wordpress.com/2010/01/19/sweethearts-candys-tweet-me-message-is-short-and-sweet/
