What's up with Three...?

ThreeExterior.jpg

I got this e-mail from CantonK last week while I was off:

I live in Canton and drive by Three... everyday. For the last week, the restaurant has been closed during times it would normally be open. There is a sign on the door but I cant read it driving by. Do you know what is going on? Did it actually close? I know Three... closing rumors have been going around for the last few months. ...

I called and the message said the phone had been "temporarily disconnected." I'm not sure what that means. I hope someone who's walking rather than driving by will tell us what that sign says.

Last time I walked by I saw a For Rent sign. I know there is rental property above the restaurant so I am not sure if the sign was for the restaurant or the rental property.

The for rent sign has been there for a couple years. The PPCDC, which has gone bankrupt, owns the building, and has been trying to sell it (and the rest of the properties they own) for some time.

The sign on the door says they are closed for a winter holiday, but doesn't give a re-opening date. If there is scuttlebutt around the neighbourhood, I'd be the last one to hear it.

I find the lack of a reopening date suspicious.

It may be the end...just guessing.

I live close by and walk my dogs, so I've checked the front door. Yes, the sign does say they are closed for winter vacation. BUT the other day there was another sign on the door, and it was taped on the outside. This was an eviction notice for unpaid rent. That sign is now down. So it doesn't look good. It's too bad we're going to lose this neighborhood place.

The phone has been disconnected, and the web site won't load. Not good signs.

small plates = order a lot or leave hungry. you can't push small plates that taste mediocre. that was the wrong vibe for that location. can't wait for this food trend to die. reviewed this in depth at tripadvisor
