Dogwood oyster bar to open

dogwoodbar.jpg

Gailor took this photo for me yesterday when she was returning a Christmas gift in Hampden and doing the 34th Street Christmas lights tour.

Unfortunately Dogwood is closed Mondays, so I can't call to get more information. Its site doesn't mention an oyster bar.

I will say this. Dogwood's new Web site is much more colorful than the old one. I like it.

I saw this tid-bit on their website...

Thanks! Clearly I should have done some digging once I got there. EL

Wow, I am not a huge fan of oysters, but that menu really made their selections sound delicious! I don't think I would go out of my way to order any off of a menu. But if someone I was with did, I would be tempted to try one.

And I never knew The Dogwood offered cooking classes. They look pretty interesting and different from what other cooking classes offer in the area.

Huh.
Well, I like oysters...
Wow is right. The Dogwood saga certainly keeps getting more and more interesting!

I like their new website. It has a great look/feel. Can't wait to go back.

Maybe I've just grown old or maybe I've been out of touch with what's happening in the food world but after perusing the menu for Dogwood, I would have a hard time ordering dinner. Nothing appealed to my tastes totally,(although the Buttermilk Fried Chicken would). This same thing happened when we went to Clementine, Unusual Food pairings. I guess I'm just becoming a little too ordinary in my old age. Something a formerly applauded Chef should never do.
