Just like your first kiss, only drier

WineBottles3.jpgMy favorite wine blog (be prepared for quirky), is running a personalized wine pairing service for the next week. I'm hoping some of you will try it and report back here. There doesn't seem to be any charge.

This is 750 mL, which we've talked about here before. I don't read it for information about wine but because the blogger, Nilay Gandhi, expresses better than anyone I've ever read how passionate people can feel about wine; and, more importantly, some of his reviews make me laugh out loud.

Had him put together a Thanksgiving pairing menu. Heavy on the pinot, but recommended some good sounding French whites and country wines I'd never heard of and all in my price range. Thanks for the link.

Thanks for reporting back. EL

OMGosh EL, this is so great! The email that I received was so personal, and really comprehensive! It was not some generic response at all like I thought it might be. I made a pumpkin pasta sauce with fresh sage over the weekend, and since the BF is not working this evening, I thought I'd toast up some baguette and have some goat cheese and fresh basil with it to start, and then some chocolate mousse for dessert. This email gave me many examples of what would be great with my dinner and why these particular bottles would work, and also plenty of info on what wouldn't work so well. I hope this service is permanent, I am hooked!

Excellent. I love getting the feedback. EL
