Burritos en Fuego closes tomorrow
Tomorrow will be the last day for Burritos en Fuego, an inexpensive and popular Mexican place in Fells Point.
I talked to manager Joti Rodar just now, and she told me it was a "landlord situation."
I asked if she would be doing anything special tomorrow to mark the closing, and she said, "I wish I had the energy. I just want to stay open the last day with a little class and dignity."

I am sad to read that Burritos en Fuego is closing tomorrow. It was a lunch spot that my coworkers and I really enjoyed. You will be missed!!!

Should that be Fuego (as in Other Reviewer Richard's review from last year), rather than Fuengo? (Oh, and apologies for the prior multiple posts.)
Yes, but the blogware has been down -- hence everybody's multiple posts -- and I haven't been able to sign on at all to make the correction. Thanks. EL

First her furniture and housewares place Eclectic Elements up the road, and now this. I'm sorry to hear the news, Joti!

NOOOO!!! I loved that place. The spinach burritos were amazing. That really really stinks. I'm incredibly unhappy. Worst closing for me...

wow, I am really gonna miss that place! any time I was in fell's I would stop in there, not only for the burritos, but was anyone else addicted to those brownies that were in a basket on the counter? I would get 2 every time, unless they were sold out already! I wonder if Jack will open elsewhere?

One of the best places I lived in Baltimore was right above this establishment. Great employees always held packages and kept the shared alleyway with Mehek (sad to see that close) clean. Easy stop to get some food, especially when they knew your order.

This great little place did not close because of any economic problems. The owners have moved to another state. Because they don't own the building, they couldn't get interest in selling it. What a shame.

What state? Will they ship burritos to me? I'll pay the FedEx!

This is the saddest news. I can't believe the last burrito I had there was my last.

Honestly, the quality has gone down in the last few years. At this point, I'd rather eat at Chipotle.

It is a shame this happened, but in the last few years the owner ran the place in to the ground. The food took a downturn and the owner isn't always the most accomodating person. Would it have killed them to season the refried beans? Just a little?

Going to miss the Diablo salsa. Sad to see them go. Wish I had known before I took the shuttle down there for lunch yesterday.
