Next Sunday's review: B & O American Brasserie

AmericanBrasserie.jpgNext Sunday I review the new B & O  American Brasserie next to the Hotel Monaco Baltimore. I've started to worry about the restaurants along the N. Charles corridor now that several good ones have closed, but I think this one will be OK. It doesn't hurt to be attached to a hotel and be this close to the Inner Harbor.

When I called to make reservations for 7 p.m. (I know, I know) on a weeknight, I was surprised to have the hostess suggest that they were pretty busy then and maybe it would be better to pick another time.

It does have all the ingredients to be Baltimore's newest hot spot. To find out why I think so, please read my review in next Sunday's Arts & Entertainment section.

I am looking forward to this review. The breviews have been very positive from what I have been reading.

We ate their last night and it was wonderful. Felt a little odd it was pretty empty upstairs we thought we would eat in the bar area next time a little more lively. food was delicious. Funny I thought you already reviewed it . When we drove by it a couple of weeks ago I said to my husband"we need to try that place it got a good review"....oh well anxious to read next week what you thought.

I think the baltimore restaurant scene NEEDS for this review to be good. A lot of decent places are now gone and I really hope that something good comes out of the effort put into this place. Ive heard mixed to good stuff mostly, and this preview post already sounds like it is going to be good. B&O has their marketing people on the most obscure blogs Ive read, so Im sure they gave you the best of treatment. So.. I guess there is a lot riding on this review.. NO PRESSURE

Cassandra, are you suggesting that EL should write a positive review because the Baltimore restaurant scene needs it? That's just so wrong! If a review isn't honest, there's not much point in reading it.

Just wanted to pass along some info about Dining Out for Life, a benefit going on this Thursday, 9/17 for Moveable Feast a non-profit that serves meals to homebound HIV/Aids, cancer patients, all participating restaurants (including B&O American Brasserie) are donating a portion of Thursday night's food and drink dinner proceeds to moveable feast. Check out the website http://www.diningoutforlife.com/Baltimore a great cause, thanks.

We had an amazing dinner there..I can't wait to go back for their smoked fish appetizer..it was incredible..as were their scallops and they also have a great, creative drink selection..my husband has been back at least 4 times for their brick oven pizza as his office is around the corner..he was thrilled to have a new restaurant in that area
