We went to Salt Tavern on Friday Aug 14, which was the first day of Restaurant Week. I checked the list of restaurants that were included before going and Salt was included. However, when we arrived and were seated, we were told that they were not participating until Monday Aug 17. Needless to say, I was quite put off by this since there was no notice on the Restaurant Week website or Salt's answering service message when I called before going. There simply needs to be better attention to detail by both restauranteur and Restaurant Week staff since many diners chose based on expecting Restaurant Week participation from official start to end.

If you look on the Web site, you'll see that Salt has no little dot under the Weekend (or lunch or special event) category. It didn't participate on the weekends, in other words. I agree it could have been clearer, but that's the Web site's fault. EL

Finally had a chance to catch up with the no-longer live chat. Just want to say that I admire howie's consistency.
