Insane sandwiches

Rubix.jpgJust to lighten up what has been the usual drudge-day-after-vacation day, Reality Check Sarah sent me a link to the Insanewiches blog.

Now you know the Rubix Cubewich is the cutest.

Then Midnight Sun Sam, in a completely unrelated action, sent me a link to the Skinny Girls Big Sandwiches blog, which publishes pictures of girls and women, skinny and otherwise, eating really big sandwiches. Not as cute, but infinitely grosser.

And to think I had something as mundane as chicken salad on whole grain bread for lunch today.

RIP Roy Passin

oh man, I have an ugly photo of myself biting into a monster burger at Cheeseburger in Paradise that would be great for the Big Sandwiches site. Any one eating a sandwich at Capriotti's would probably qualify, too. Ate there in Rehoboth for the first time last week... I am totally that girl who misunderstands how big 8 inches is.

Heather? I think you belong here. Something about that last comment.

Funny Lissa, I was thinking the same thing. Imagine that.

I am totally that girl who misunderstands how big 8 inches is.

Maybe the sandwich got wet. Shrinkage! There was shrinkage!

Yes heather, I think you should join us over at the after hours club – Facebook. There is quite a lively group of D@L regulars.

Geez. You make it sound a little, er, adult. EL

I was wondering what answer Owl might have for Heather's remark (which made me laugh out loud at work).

hmpstd - that keyboard lag is back!

Geez. You make it sound a little, er, adult. EL

Geez, you make it sound like a swinger's club. Ew. Not my intention. Of course people are encouraged to wear slit skirts and Jordache jeans. Put your keys in the key bowl.

I'm not sure anyone would seriously accuse us of being adult over on Facebook.

How do I find D@L on Facebook?

NotableM,

Here is the link to D@L on Facebook:
Dining@Large but most of the commentary is on the regulars pages. Once in FB, look for Umberto Swarm, Owl Meat's facebook persona. That seems to be where most of the comments are made.

I didn't mean to single Owl out, but his page is the liveliest.

NotableM: do you know how to harvest raspberries?

I guess most of the chatter is on Owlie's page, but it does show up on other's pages, too, so you kind of have to friend the entire gang.

Scary, no?

I can't speak for the other FB users, but whenever I'm on there, I make sure to put on something polyester.

Polyester? eeewww! There is no polyester in my house.

However, I think my bell bottoms are ready to come out of the washer...

If I join the D@L group, will the bars and restaurants I'm friends with/fans of respect and fear me more? Right now they only fear me a little because of the time I overflowed the toilet at Corks.

Take the blue pill Heather.

Joining the group doesn't get you much. It just shows you who some of the regulars here are who you might want to befriend. I'm Umberto Swarm, but you could probably figure that out from my dope Owl Man photo.

What pray tell is a key bowl?

The main reason for joining the D@L group on FB is to be able to contact some of the other D@L people without bothering Elizabeth.

We also get a little rowdy at times. I believe there may have been a quadruple entendre or two.

Doesn't Heather also get a "Nym Tag?"
