Great dishes under $10

13.5Panini.jpgGuest poster John Lindner has given me a gift: a complete Top 10 Tuesday, and a good one at that.

I'm trying hard to hold off using it until I go on my next vacation, but I may not make it. In fact, I may not get any farther than next Tuesday.

But Charm City Mom Kate has given me a good idea, which is almost (but not quite) as good as a complete list. She suggests a Top 10 of Best Restaurant Dishes Under $10. ...

I'm already bugging Other Reviewer Richard to suggest some items because the restaurants he reviews are more likely to have candidates. (Hey, the prime rib at the Prime Rib costs $41, and that's without a vegetable.)

Anyway, if any of you has a suggestion, please post below. I was going to try to avoid small plates, but I don't think that will be possible.

just about anything @ Ale Mary's

Pho (or most things) at Mekong Delta. The chicken at Chicken Rico. Any of the soups at Bouillabaisse Cafe. Tacos at Tortillaria Sinaloa.

I realize these are mostly lunch items, but I'll throw them out.

The coddies at Faidleys

The fish and chips at Oceanaire

The burger and onion rings at Flemmings

The Stu Special at Attmans

The chicken platter at Chicken Ricco

The ham and cheese croissant at Bonjour

The Roasted Pork Belly at The Brewer's Art.

You can get pork belly for under $10?

Why am I not there right now?

Masala Dosa at The Carlyle Club. Served with hot, fragrant sambar and fresh coconut chutney, all for $8.

Had dinner at the Outback in Canton last night and wasn't all that hungry so I tried the 6 oz. sirloin for $9.95. Accompanied by a zesty Caesar salad and a hefty baked potato, slathered with sour cream and chives, it was a fine hunk of beef (and maybe an ounce or two over the advertised weight.) It may not have matched the Prime Rib (where my wife and I are booked for Restaurant Week) but washed down with a a couple of glasses of a surprisingly smooth Pinot Noir, it certainly was value for money.

The grocery store salad and hot foods bar.

"it was a fine hunk of beef (and maybe an ounce or two over the advertised weight.)"

That could describe most guys I've met through the internet.

I think most of the meals under $10 that I like are brunch items. Or gelato (it is so a meal).

*blink*

Well, that is the first time I've seen that.

That could describe most guys I've met through the internet.

pizza.

you know what they say about pizza...

pizza is like sex. even when it's bad, it's good.

It's only good when it's good.

Oooo that sounds delicious. If you pick me up. I'll treat. I love a girl with a car. Since my brain transplant I can't drive

Pretty much anything at Atwater's.

If memory serves me correctly, the flatbreads at Woodberry Kitchen are $10.

Gyro, fries and a soft drink at Maria's on York Road in Timonium. Eat in and it is all you can drink. And it is good. The fries are always fresh out of the fryer. The gyro overstuffed. Really more food than one person needs for lunch.

The entrees on Pazza Luna's dinner menu are half price at lunch time now-they've done away with the lunch menu. Almost all of their pasta dishes are less than $10 at lunch..

Come to think of it there are lots of entrees on Mari Luna's menu for $10 and under.

Grilled Steak Taco Salad.
Taco Platter.
One half Peruvian Chicken.

Now I know what I am having for my birthday dinner on Tuesday.

Ain't nuthin' good about bad sex.

Amen to that Eve!

You tell it girlfriend.

Anything at Cypriana Cafe is very tasty.

Happy birthday, EEL--you made it to another one! Congratulations!

Thanks Dahlink.

Corks has pasta entrees for $9 on Wednesdays. I think Pazza Luna has something similar for $10 on Wednesdays too

Mac n cheese and a salad at Clementine. Incredibly filling, and only $9 together.

That is great that people are able to take the home loans moreover, it opens new chances.
