Everything you ever wanted to know about lake trout

I can't answer that for you, but I bet the Roost can. Thanks to LAbun1066 for sending me a photo of the best lake trout sign ever.

I remember when that place first opened and I am certain the phrase "lake trout" was intended only as the (ambiguous) menu item it is. iow there have been lots of lake trout joints before The Roost.
That said.. what make a good (B'more) lake trout sandwich starts and ends with the bread.
It MUST be rye bread (but H&S is fine for this),with not too much mayo, fresh lettuce, thin sliced tomato and pepper; and for me personally... raw onion.
Next time on Reisterstown Road I'll drop in and try them again (it's been a while).

Thanks for the tip. I'm a member of a small coterie of lake trout virgins who've been looking for the definitive example. The Roost it is.
LAbun1066 is a moniker one feels one can trust.

That reminds me of a funny Jim Gaffigan bit:
"I like fish, but only if it doesn't have a fishy taste"
"I got news for you buddy: you don't like fish!"
