Restaurant musing at 2:30 a.m.

How did Ixia not make my list of Top 10 Most Controversial Restaurants? Talk about love it/hate it.

Oh, Elizabeth 2:30 a.m. was not the time to be musing about that! Hope you got some sleep!

I don't think one regular has spoken up in support of Ixia yet.

(This isn't to imply that regulars count more, it simply means that the Ixia lovers haven't joined the Fork Collective yet.)

I long for what lures me into dream,
a wishful pursuit of sleep, sleep, sleep:

Well, I did if you count me as a regular. EL

Yeah, 2:30 a.m. is when the mosquito bites really bite. I was awake then too.

Elizabeth, you are the most regular of regulars, but you also tend to blather less than some of us.

I got notice yesterday that Ixia is closing....Charles Street continues to lose good business'.

A restaurant can have a love it/hate it reputation, but when you forget about, then it's time to close the doors, which is what happened.

I wonder if the decorator will be working all week.

We went there once for an anniversary or something. The food was actually really good, as were the drinks. The dessert was a piece of art. But... that was years ago, and we never went back. Cost was definitely an issue. And it wasn't really... fun.

I wish it weren't closing, but I'm also not shocked.
