Maisy's opens today

Maisy%27sOpens.jpg

In today's Table Talk column I had to fudge the lead item on Maisy's, which was supposed to open sometime this week; but because of my deadline, I wasn't sure it would. It turns out that the restaurant opened today, serving food only. The liquor license is still in the process of being transferred.

I also got to tell you more about the owner of Tenzo Artisan Chocolate, Pastry and Catering, Janice Shih. She gave up her career as a doctor to bake. ...

As for Top 10 Wednesday, it's still Beach Week in the print edition. But you might want to take a look to see which comments made it in.

The woman in the photo, by the way, is able to have a glass of wine at Maisy's bar because she's a friend of the owner. Ayana Lugo happened to be there before the place opened when the photographer was.

do you think barbie hargrave will ever come back?

You can always hope, Howie. That's what life is all about. EL

Who picks the comments for the print edition

I do the first edit, which is mostly ones that will stand on their own, make sense to nonregulars, won't get me in trouble, are short because of space problems and include no more than four of Owl Meat's various personae. I send over many more than get used. EL

Life is suffering and hope only leads to more suffering.

I'm in print AGAIN!

And, nobody ever answered my question which tells me NOBODY is going to Ruths Chris downy ocean (hon)

Balto...hmm, sounds interesting. Too bad I'm not working tomorrow, or I'd try Maisy's for lunch. Maybe Friday.

Only the second day, liquor licence came through so the bar was limited but wonderful and the food met expectations as did the service. Really nice, easy on the ear(jazz), and the stomach. I would reccomend this highly. The duck egg roll, short ribs and sorbet were all wonderful and reasonably priced.

We went the first week and were very pleased with both the service and the food. The venison chili is delicious and the calamari was perfectly cooked. There was something for everyone on the menu and we'll have to make several visits to try everything we want to sample on the menu. We're thrilled about this addition to the neighborhood, which is also perfect for a workday lunch out.

Went to Maisy's last week and it was great but oculd use more salads on the lunch menu!

Pop into Baltimore Coffee and Tea mostly on weekends because I'm out and about before they open during the week! Still my fave though!!!

Chat soon! Barbie

...(long sigh of contentment)this day is starting out good.

Goodness Howie. Do you have a Barbie GPS tracking system?

Do you have a Barbie GPS tracking system?
