Monday Morning Quarterbacking: Harryman House
Yesteday I reviewed the Grill at Harryman House in Reisterstown. I'm glad Elite Elephant Lover mentioned the high price of wines by the glass under an earlier post. I hadn't noticed (I should have) because I was with three other people who all wanted the same wine, so we got a bottle.
Anyway, if you have anything to add, please post below.

EL, you gave them a pretty generous review, I thought. I haven't sat in the bar area yet, which is getting all the nice reviews (including yours, El). From the picture it does look nice. I also agree about the oysters (but I think they're over priced) and the salmon burger. I also really like your line about the "jaunty sprig of rosemary". It brought the late great Julia Child to mind.
I really think if the service was better, I wouldn't even be so critical of their prices. But the servers, although very nice and trying very hard, are far from the polished professionals that are at Tarks.
I have to agree. EL

Does anyone know why with all the great lamb produced in the United States (I am sure there are great producers in Maryland) why restaurants brag about New Zealand lamb? It is not as good as Colorado lamb or the lamb I used to get from Summerfield Farms in Virginia. I just don't get it.
