chocolate-covered%20strawberries.jpgZevonista has implied that if I post the addresses and times of the Giant's Valentine's Date Night, all of you -- OK, maybe someone -- will flock to the event, camera in hand, to answer our questions:

* What is involved in date night bowling?

* What happens to the stuffed lobster tails after the cooking demonstration?

* What are the raffle prizes?

* Why are there kids involved in what's supposed to be a romantic date night?

Also, please bring me any leftover chocolate-covered strawberries. ...

What a setup...I fell right into the trap!

Well, I guess I gotta check with Mrs. Zevonista to see what's on the agenda for Friday night! Might be worth a trip to the Columbia Giant...

Does Giant hate the city? Or do they just think we're all so romantic that if they dare to stimulate us with chocolate covered strawberries that there will be orgies in the frozen foods aisle?

[O]rgies in the frozen foods aisle?

Orgies: you know what you loose sorts the liberal Democrats that populate the City are like.

Orgies in the frozen food aisle? That's ridiculous, The fresh produce aisle makes more sense.

Does Giant hate Harford County, Cecil County, Carroll County, Anne Arundel County, and the entire Eastern Shore?

After Friday night the question might be "Does Giant hate Baltimore and Howard counties?"

Isn't there a Giant at Reisterstown Road Plaza? That's Baltimore City. There was a sign up forever that Giant was opening somewhere near the Home Depot in OC. I don't think that ever happened though.

Owl - hilarious thought. snickering outloud!

Isn't there a Giant at Reisterstown Road Plaza? That's Baltimore City.

Reisterstown Road Plaza is just barely in the city.

There's also a Giant at the Rotunda, and a newish one that I passed while running the Baltimore Running Festival half-marathon. I think that one was on 33rd St., but my brain was starting to show the effects of too many miles in hot weather by that point.

None of those Giants are convenient to me, down here in Lissa's neighborhood (more or less).

PETA wants us to love our veggies!

Orgies in the produce aisle = Shannon Tweed with rasberries in Night Eyes II

Aw!! I shop at Giant 158 in Bel Air. Missed the fun by a digit.

Wasn't 159 a so-called "Gucci Giant" when it opened? What happened to that level of service at Giant?

I alternate between the Giant at the Rotunda on 40th and the Super Fresh 2 blocks away on 41st (not that there's a sign to indicate you've left 40th for 41st, which is a problem for delivery people).

Giant is dissing Baltimore City, but Super Fresh is dissing the entire state of Maryland by not offering the special Valentine's deals. Right?

I'm kidding. It all seems silly. But I suppose hard economic times call for silly customer-generating measures.
