Where did the Ravens eat Sunday night?

This morning Rachel Nichols on SportsCenter reported that "over 30" Ravens gathered at a restaurant Sunday night to watch the Steelers-Chargers game. Her point was that many of them were openly rooting for the Steelers. My point is why didn't she name the restaurant? ...

If I had to guess, I would say the Oregon Grille in Cockeysville, only because I think I once saw a Raven walking in there with his significant other as we were walking out. I didn't recognize him; I'm just guessing from his size (enormous) and their clothes (expensive and beautiful).

On the other hand, I'm not sure more than 30 Ravens could watch the game there. Maybe they went to sme bar or RayRay's barbecue place, which has a TV at every booth. But if they went to a football player's restaurant, wouldn't Rachel Nichols have said so?

I saw that same report. Earlier in the day, I heard someone on the radio say that some of the Ravens watched the game at the ESPN Zone. Maybe she didn't mention it, as it would look like a plug.

I would guess somewhere in Owings Mills, since most of them live up there and that's where the training facility is.

They said somewhere that they were at the ESPNZone.

Really? 30 Ravens in Oregon Grille...for a football game? I highly doubt it.

Probably somewhere in Owings Mills as most of the players most live there.

And certaily not ESPN Zone, becasue you know Rachel Nichols would've had to say that 14 times during her spot.

Ray Ray didn't even use his place when he had the chance a few years ago. Rumor was that they rented out a place in Mt. Vernon to watch the games instead.

I'm going to DIE if I find out it was Bateman's!

I heard it was ESPN zone too.

Someone posted over on the Connolly's Corner Bar blog that a bunch of Ravens were watching the game at ESPN zone

On a Ravens message board (not the Sun board) yesterday, I read a post about this. Someone said there were a whole bunch of them in the ESPNZone watching the game. The poster's comment was that a bunch of them looked rather tired and worn out.

I've looked for the post again to perhaps link it, but I can't find it. The board is quite lively now and that post has probably fallen way down the list.

On Monday morning, 98 Rock talks to Jarret Johnson. He said that they were at the ESPN Zone. They shut down the area with the big screen so that they could watch the game. He said a lot of the players and some of the coaches were there.

I guess I was wrong. I am surprised ESPN wouldn't try to shamlesly plug, they love that stuff.

BTW, had nachos recently at ESPN Zone, pretty much the worst nachos I've ever eaten. Cheese hardly melted, chicken was cold, oh and there were french fries scattered inside.

I believe Ray Lewis' restaurant in Canton (Full Moon BBQ) is closed. I live nearby and it hasn't looked open for a while and looks a bit empty inside. Have you heard anything about this?

I heard that because of court troubles (owners suing the other owners, Ray Lewis trying to get out of his agreement with Full Moon because of the drama) the restaurant would turn into a Corner Stable. I know everyone here thinks the Corner Stable ribs are inauthentic and gross, but I love them and do not care about their authenticity. I heard this rumor a while ago, though, and sadly, my dream has not yet come true. :-(

KB - If you are referring to the Corner Stable in Cockeysville (that is the only one I know of), I have heard more positive opinions than negative ones. I know of out of town people who when they want good ribs, they go to the Stable.

I think Ray Lewis' barbecue restaurant in Canton is closed. It hasn't been open for at least several days and looks dark and sort of empty inside. Have you heard anything about it closing?

Nothing wrong with the Corner Stable's ribs. Just don't try to tell me they are barbeque.

Oops, sorry about my double posts about Ray Lewis' restaurant. The first time I tried to post a comment, it said "error" so I didn't think it went through.
