Time-sensitive post!!!
Gailor just sent me an e-mail with the subject line "Time-sensitive post!!!" She likes bargains, and free is about as good a bargain as you can get, I guess.

Not time sensitive, but I saw an ad for free "McCafe" coffees at McDonalds during February, 5am-8am.

Looks good, except around here (Baltimore and environs) tomorrow is supposed to be the pits, weatherwise. Could they postpone it because of bad weather?

Yeah, I work just about a couple of blocks and across the street from a Panera, but I'm just not sure the skating rink out there is worth it. Maybe if it actually warms up as promised and starts to thaw . . .

Did anyone make it out to try the new menu items? I'd be interested in a review!

I stopped by a Panera ... the only "new" menu item as far as I can tell is the parfait, which my g/f got and enjoyed. They've had breakfast sandwiches for a while, didn't seem to be a change there (I got bacon egg and cheese). I saw no free food samples, though.
They were giving out free coffee, said they changed their blends and wanted people to try them. I'm not a coffee drinker, but I had a cup of the dark roast and enjoyed it, g/f liked her Hazelnut.

I can't understand why the chicken chili was only there (at Panera) in the summer. Wouldn't that be a great winter dinner? I hope that's on their "new" menu!

Out here in Kentucky we had 6 inches of snow Tuesday, 3/4 inch of ice at night and 5 inches of snow early Wednesday. I traveled by our local Panera at about 0800 going to my colonoscopy and about 1000 returning. The Panera lot which is usually packed at those hours only had a few cars.
I didn't stop either way!

LEC, if you'd stopped on the way TO, you'd be getting sent home with no procedure! Which would really suck after driving in all that snow and ice. I always said that people would drive through a blizzard once they've done that prep!

LEC--hope the trip was worth it and that you got good news!

It was very worth it! Two polyps were removed, apparently NC. Everyone should have this done!
Although the prep is still effusive, the intake is so much better than in the past.

LEC, a close relative died at age 51 of colon cancer, so we are very sure to get our regular colonoscopies. I agree with you absolutely.
The last time my husband went he was coming out of the anesthesia and they offered him some fruit juice. He was euphoric and started talking about the best Mai Tai he'd ever had on Hawaii. The staff was highly amused!

LEC - another cancer preventing procedure accomplished! Good For You! Everyone should have it done - can't stress it enough! Colon cancer is one cancer that can be caught and stopped in it's tracks!

As I approach the one year anniversary of my diagnosis I hope that this is one and done even though the chemo therapy was not nearly as bad as I anticipated. I can highly recommend the infusion center at St. Joseph's Hospital for treatment.
