Brunch on Saturday

I was going to post this yesterday, when it would have been appropriate, and then I forgot about it. Oh, well, maybe it's better for those who want to make their plans in advance.

I got the following e-mail from Queenie:

Hello!  I continually have a restaurant problem:  I can never remember what places serve breakfast (or brunch) on Saturday as well as on Sunday.

Do you have any plans to make a list?  If not, may I suggest it as a topic?  Thanks!

I wasn't planning to make a list because besides Miss Shirley's the only one I could think of off the top of my head was Alexander's Tavern (pictured) in Fells Point, which seems to have let its Web site go. I called to make sure that it still does serve Saturday brunch. It does, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

But there must be lots of other places. Anybody?

Gertrude's at the BMA.

Micheal's on York Road in Timonium

We currently have 17 brunch specials listed on 600block. If you know of others, please send them to specials [at] 600block [dot] com and we'll make sure they are added. Thanks!

I thought that Harvest Table in Locust Point served brunch on Saturdays.

Helen's Garden
Cafe Hon

Yellow Dog and Red Star serve brunch Saturday and Sunday.

Little Havana has a great brunch!

Morning Edition (near Butcher's Hill) is delicious

Don't Know Tavern and No Idea Tavern have brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 10am til 3 and 4pm respectively along with all you can drink mimosas, bloody mary's, and Miller Lite draft til 1pm for $7.

I think.

Austin Grilll

With vm's 8.31pm post we've got 10 places. (Plus Mr Tom's list.) A little cut and paste and a certain blog author will have her work done (not naming names, of course).

Village Square Cafe in Village of Cross Keys (Roland Park) serves breakfast all day - 7 days a week and brunch specials on weekends.

How about that new place in Cross Keys? I still haven't been there yet, (darn it!)

Had a nice brunch at Donna's in Cross Keys yesterday!

City Café in Mount Vernon serves breakfast/brunch both days. Donna's in Mount Vernon serves a limited breakfast/brunch menu on Saturdays and a full brunch on Sundays.

Koopers Tavern in Fells Point does a great brunch on weekends, or at least they used to offer one. I imagine they still do.

Also, Mother's in Federal Hill does a really good breakfast/brunch as well.

Todd Connor's in Fells Point has a nice brunch menu on Sundays.

Ze Mean Bean did a Saturday brunch the last time I checked (1 yr ago). It was a long wait (very busy), the service was slow, but the atmosphere and food were great.

Christopher Daniel's in Timonium serves a DELICIOUS Sunday brunch

Todd Conners has their brunch on Saturday and Sunday.

Alexander's Tavern's website is being redone so it can be updated with all of our specials more easily. It should be done by the end of next week. The brunch along with the lunch and dinner menus will all be available. Thanks!!

Alonso's and Loco Hombre on Cold Spring Lane in Roland Park has wonderful brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 10-3. Check out their menu at

Marie Louise Bistro is new in Mount Vernon and has a great brunch menu Saturdays & Sundays
