Next Tuesday's Top Ten

DisneylandI just realized I totally forgot about next Tuesday's Top Ten. That's bad because if I wait until the weekend, some of you might be out having fun instead of sitting at your computer coming up with good ideas for me.

I'm leaning toward Top Ten Chocolate Desserts, I have no idea why, but I'm open to other suggestions. Just post below.

I wish I could come up with something more summery. Maybe the photo will inspire you.

It's too hot for chocolate! We had a small dinner party last night and I served mango sorbetto with warm blackberry sauce. Now that's a summertime dessert!

I was about to say that I think the top ten light desserts would be better than chocolate (did I really just say that something was better than chocolate?), when I saw that my seperated-at-birth sister made the same point.

Rosebud, you're a true sister!

Too hot for chocolate? 'Splain, Lucy!

If it's too hot you can always have a really good ice cream with a chocalte sauce or syrup on it.

uuuummmmmm....chocolate!

Top 10 jello deserts?

More seriously, how about best frozen deserts? Could be sorbet, ice cream, bombes, whatever.

Poor Eliabeth, on vacation and having to pony up some lame and arbitrary pablum for the masses. I get the feeling that you are sick to death of top ten whatevers. For god's sake, who cares what the top ten blah blahs are? Oh I forgot, the great unwashed masses that only tune into the blog for stupid lists. How about Jennifer Aniston's Top Ten Favorite Spices. Seriously, the more shallow, the more hits you will get from the front page.

Oh I am SO cyncical.

Twice as many hits as any of my other posts is hard to give up. And I always hope some of those people stick around. EL

Maybe we should go back to the basics. With gas at four dollars plus and food prices skyrocketing, how about the top ten value restaurants in the area? The ones that give you the most bang for your buck, fine food for your pfening, supper for your simoleon? I could fiscally alliterate forever but you get the point. Then...how about challenging restaurants to take up the culinary cudgels -- and qualify for a new value list by coming up with special offers? And alerting diners via this blog. They certainly won't find a more receptive target audience. Why wait for restaurant week to get a good deal on a meal?

TMom, I have always thought that Jennifer Aniston was a white pepper girl. Can't wait for that list. blah blah spice rack blah blah.

Oh dyn-o-mite! We should switch over to all things celebrity, like Access Baltimore. It will have to be mostly theoretical or hallucinated though.

Ah wuz huffin on some freon you know and ah swored dat ah sawr Rene Zellwigger go-win tru duh dumpster buh-hined Nach-owe Mammers onna Tousdays. Ah swares!

I'm in. I'm sure your editors would love it.

How bout top ten best things to do with fresh fruit? It doesn't have to be just desserts. Everybody gets fabulous produce at the various Farmers' Markets, so how about some ideas for what to do with it, from appetizers and salads all the way through to desserts.

Everyone always talks about fresh fruit desserts during the summer because it's seasonal, but that doesn't mean there's no room for chocolate in the summer. Chocolate mousses, Death by Chocolate, any combination of chocolate and fruit (dipped or not), chocolate ice box pie...

Now I need a chocolate shake after work

With the return of summer heat, when can we get surly? How about top ten clippy joints or the top ten over-rated places?

RoCK, some of us are always surly! But I like your ideas for the TT (she said sweetly).

Good idea RoCK. Even though people would LOVE to read that and it would be a service, the advertising overlords would never allow it. Remember, freedom's just another word for food on a stick.

what is a "clippy" joint?

what is a "clippy" joint?

LJ--it may have something to do with the plush toy photos posted elsewhere on this blog.
