No market this morning

mktsign.jpg

It looks like I won't be getting to the Waverly Farmers Market early this morning, so I'm hoping some of you who do go will post something below about what you found there today. If you make it sound enticing enough, I may brave the crowds and go toward the end of the morning. (For those of you who don't know, it closes at noon.)

Rosebud, I know at least you will have been there at 7 a.m.

Oh goodness!! I was away form the computer yesterday and didn't know I had been called upon.

I bought LOTS of asparagus. Grilled some last night with just a brushing of olive oil and salt & pepper. Heaven! This is what we need local markets for. I'll leave my last post about asparagus to stand since, after having read it, I found it sounded a lot like Bubba Gump shrimp.

I got strawberries from two different vendors and was disappointed by both due to a lack of flavor - bland, bland, bland!

My greens were wonderful as always.

I actually tried taking pictures with my phone but they didn't turn out very well - maybe because I actually needed a third hand most of the time.
