And yet more love

CakeLoveWarren

If all goes well, Baltimore’s first CakeLove (2500 Boston St., 410-522-1825) should open at 8 a.m. tomorrow in the Can Company in Canton.
Warren Brown — lawyer, baker and Food Network star — will be selling his baked-from-scratch cakes, many of which come in unusual flavors and have interesting stories behind them, from  8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. The store has seating for 10.

YAY I love CakeLove!

My favorite is the strawberry buttercream on chocolate cupcakes (eaten room temp, of course).

I also really love the bedrolls -- walnut genoise with cream cheese icing!

Check it out!

IT"S OPEN!!!!! I drove by this morning and will be stopping in on my way home tonight.

Their "cupcakes" are the most disgusting baked good I've ever tasted. They taste like old shoes. I do not understand the appeal of their cupcakes at all.

The proper name should be SugarLove. By demographics, I am older than the average blogger. (Maybe not on this site.) I found the cake to be overly sweet. Maybe for a generation raised on Captain Crunch and the like this is the norm. Also, though quality ingredients and work were present $7 for a slice of cake put in a plastic container is a bit steep. After all they are not paying a middleman, there is no garnish, nor a plate to clean up.
