And now some real news...

Besides the ego-boosting photo below, Good Eater Marty also sent me this pictorial news. Oriental Manor in Ellicott City was one of the most respected Chinese restaurants in the area. It closed quietly, and nothing has taken its place until now. I'll give Asian Court a call and see what I can learn.

Were you able to get any updates? Given the paucity of good Chinese in the area, and the demise of past faves Oriental Manor and Szechuan Best, there is much anticipation to see if the new occupants of the old O.M. spaces rise to the occasion.

Owner Sam Louie and I have exchanged voice mails a couple of times but not hooked up yet. The name worries me a little if you're looking for pure Chinese. Of the restaurant, not necessarily his.
