Second Glarus Chocolatier opens

Glarus Chocolatier of Timonium now has a second location at 644 South Exeter St. in Harbor East. It's scheduled to open this Sunday or Monday.

Yes, the assorted boxes of Swiss chocolates, the bars and the barks, not to mention the truffles, will be offered at the new Glarus. When last I looked, the Web site didn't reflect the change yet, but all the information about ordering and services applies to both, co-owner Jennifer Hauser told me.

Hours will be Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Thanks to Hal for first alerting me to this.

We've been regulars at Glarus' Timonium location since it opened several years ago. I'm thrilled that they're expanding to this new site. I'm doubly thrilled that their seasonal cinnamon-ginger truffles will soon be available again. ;)

Glarus not only creates wonderful chocolates, but the lovely couple that runs it (and make all of the chocolates themselves) are terrific. Success couldn't happen to nicer people!

I was at Whole Foods across the street Saturday morning, and the place sure didn't look like it will be open by Monday. If it is, someone will have done a lot of work over the weekend.

I wonder why the 1st reader's comment under your blog needs to remind us that "they make them all themselves".
I wonder why Ben Hauser always seems to forget to tell the media everyitme he is interviewed that his father is a chocolatier and has a large chocolate business in Connecticut and Rhode Island? The chocolate looks amazingly like his! Hauser Chocolates.com is the father's business. I wonder if he is shipping it to his son? But, of course, there is no equipment, very little packaging and very little chocolate because they make it all by hand in Timonium??
They never seem to be photographed "making" truffles, only posing in front of finished truffles. I wonder why?
I wonder why his "panned" products look mysteriously like the ones Jeppi Nut wholesales just a few doors down from them in Timonium...but repackaged in Glarus packaging.
