Wanted: Top Ten Topics

Thanks to Eric for another excellent Top Ten Tuesday suggestion. (See under Two Great Weeks of Top Tens.) Keep those cards and letters coming, folks.

Comments

Top Ten "Guys Night Out" restaurants and, more importantly, Top Ten "Girls Night Out" restaurants.

To piggyback on Eric's suggestion below (under "Two great weeks of Top Tens"), I think you should also run the Top 10 places NEVER to take your visiting parents/in-laws.

Top 10 Ocean City/Beach restaurants?

i think you should create a top 10 for unknown chef's in baltimore.
i am so tired to hear the same names

Love the beach restaurant suggestion. So much of what we see advertised is over-rated. There must be some that you think are worth the time and the money. There used to be a place in OC called the Crab Bag which was a wonderful little dive with very fresh seafood that was pretty simply prepared. Then someone bought it and renamed it the Key West Crab Bag and it was just not the same. Was in OC a few weeks ago and see it is again known as the Crab Bag. Did not have a chance to go in but hope to hear from someone who has. They used to carry something they called the Grab Bag. It had lots of seafood, all broiled or steamed, with corn and tomatoes and watermelon. It was something we looked forward to. Maybe they will bring it back!

How about 10 most authentic ethnic restaurants or 10 most popular homegrown local Baltimore restaurants (that are still around) or 10 most see and be seen restaurants or....i could go on and on

How about top ten over-rated places. Not to be mean, but I think it's a real problem. So many people come to town and go to the places that they have heard of, which are not necessarily the best or even good. Let's call it the Phillipatino's Conundrum.

What about the top ten restaurants you would like to exist, but don't. They could be existing ones with changes or just fantasy, like a bar with tapas, where the tapas are actually Spanish tapas, not over priced appetizers. Or a theme restaurant based on Star Trek: How would you like your tribbles cooked, sir? Or a place where you eat blind-folded and if you can guess what your food and wine is, it's free!

Top ten signs that you have a bad waiter.

Top ten signs that your meal will not be good.

Top ten signs that you are a bad customer.

how about top ten breakfast? I hear Miss Shirley's in Roland Park is the best in town
