Next Tuesday's Top Ten

sobo

Your restaurant critic is hard at work coming up with the Top Ten cheap eats places for you. The criterion is that you can get a great meal for under $25.

It's a difficult category because with gas prices as high as they are, the cheap eats restaurant in my neighborhood may not be a cheap eats place for you.

Also, I'm going to eliminate all those places that have some bargain dishes but also some not.

Suggestions welcome.

is that a picture of sobo cafe? regardless, they should be on the list.

Dear Elizabeth:

The best dining bargain in my area is Maria Luna Restaurant on Reisterstown Road at the city limits. They meet your criteria of a mixed menu of cost effective items along with their specials. I love the lamb shank cooked in the banana leaf which is about $16.00 or $17.00. One can eat a couple tacos, have a bowl of soup and a drink and come in under the $25.00.

I need to correct the spelling on the restaurant name: Mari Luna no Maria Luna..
Fingers typing faster than I can think. Sorry for the error.
