Peppermint ice cream help

I got this request from Patti, bemoaning the fact that you can't get good peppermint ice cream at the end of a Chinese meal anymore...

Recently I have been wondering what ever happened to peppermint ice cream similiar to the kind that they use to have at Howard Johnson's. It actually had peppermint candy in the ice cream itself. It was a soothing way to end a meal. Wondered if any of your readers knew anything or where to get some. Thanks

Peace people

We love you

So upset no one has gotten back to you yet...I need some peppermint ice cream

Elizabeth, that's a flavor you're more likely to see around the Christmas holiday season, but your reader should check with Moxley's, a local ice cream manufacturer. I'm pretty sure I've seen it in either the retail version or in their shops (Towson and Timonium). I know Edy's and Friendly's both put out a peppermint flavor to coincide with the holiday season.

The Lucky Inn Chinese Restaurant serves peppermint ice cream and it is really good. They are located at 8924 Waltham Woods Road . This is off Joppa Road in the same shopping center as Safeway, Bill Batemans and Kmart.

If you're out in Westminster - Hoffman's makes a great Peppermint Ice Cream, but it is seasonal. I am not sure if they have it now, if not, It'll show up towards the end of the year.

I can't believe no one has answered this, make your own!
Soften one pint of vanilla ice cream, fold in about 1 tbl peppermint extrct and some crushed peppermint candies. Put back in the freezer (th candies will soften slightly in the freezer). Enjoy whenever you want!

It was very interesting for me to read the post. Thanx for it. I like such themes and anything connected to them. I would like to read more on that blog soon.
